Inspired Vancouver To Join The World’s Largest Citywide Treasure Hunt!

Challenge

Being this was Lost Treasure’s first real treasure hunt, establishing credibility and validity was not an easy feat. We had no brand awareness, no social proof and brand new social media accounts with no previous history. With $30,000 in gold and silver at stake, we had to do our best to make the most out of every dollar to ensure we achieved a profitable hunt.

Solution

We started by completing any necessary tech integrations required to feed sales performance back to Meta/Google Analytics while mapping out the Lost Treasure funnel. From the ground up and on a tight timeline, in collaboration with the Lost Treasure team, we assembled a comprehensive marketing strategy for the hunt and began preparing both Organic and Paid Social Media assets. We were also tasked with fully managing Organic Social which required a lot of community management, reactive posts and strong daily engagement.

Tech Integrations

with a custom built website, a direct integration with Meta was more challenging, but thanks to buttered. and Lost Treasure tech teams’ awesome collaboration, we accomplished that through GTM.

Creative Assets

leveraging AI and available visuals, we were able to make compelling, adventure inspiring creative for Paid (which was refreshed weekly) as well as Organic Social Media.

Organic Social Management

a citywide treasure hunt is a living, breathing thing. Responsiveness is of the essence and can be the difference between happy and unhappy hunters across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and Reddit.

Weekly Meetings

twice a week, the buttered. and Lost Treasure team would connect and discuss any urgent issues, updates and progress regarding preparation or execution of the strategy.
